Saturday 9: Inside Job

1. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
~ To be an Accountant

2. Did you ever pursue that career?
~ Yes. I took up BS Accountancy in college.

3. If you are not in that field, what changed?
~ well I’m glad I was able to take up the filed I wanted. Though later on I shifted to being an IT professional for a nice opportunity.

4. What is your current job?
~ currently I’m SAHM. But before that I was an Analyst Programmer.

5. What’s the best part of what you do?
~ being SAHM the best part is you’re with the family 24/7.

6. Do you have plans to do something else down the road?
~ Yeah.

7. How did you get your present job? If you are a stay at home mom, how long did you need to plan that move?
~ It took me a while before I decided to be stay at home mom. I love my work before and it’s hard for me to give up. Not to mention that during the time I’m planning to resign, I was promoted to a new position. So it’s really a big decision on my part. But after weighing all the possibilities and of course family is my priority… I sacrificed my work.

8. Did your parents influence your choices of jobs over the years?
~ not at all… my parents are very supportive.

9. What advice would you give your children on careers?
~ Pursue your career that will make you happy and close to your heart. That way you will be comfortable in working and can have good result.
