safeguard for savings

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

I have read a lot of blog posts regarding gold investment, its benefits and the process on how to buy gold bullion. Though I haven’t tried investing in any precious metal, I’m convinced that gold or silver is indeed a precious asset that anyone can rely on especially in times of inflation. As quoted from an article, “… while national currencies collapse, gold has always the value.” With that said, you can exchange it anytime and anywhere. It serves as a safeguard for savings and protection for family’s wealth. So if ever you’re planning to invest, it is advisable to diversify your portfolio on precious metal such as gold and silver.

Invest in gold

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

Once you decide to buy gold coins then you made a good investment because gold is considered to be an ultimate asset. One of the top reasons why it’s best to own gold is because it acted as a universal store of wealth for most of human history. There is no other asset, which has a longer track record as holding intrinsic value. Other great reasons to own gold include portability and an extremely limited supply. Hence it is indeed advisable by most of the investor to diversify your portfolio and consider buying gold to protect your wealth and at the same time have a lifetime savings.

Protect your eyes

The heat is on! :)
Temperature starting to rise up and few more weeks, summer time is here. During this season, since it’s very hot the harmful UV rays of the sun are strongest. It is important to avoid sun exposure especially during the peak hours between 10am and 4pm. One practical tip is to shield your eyes and make sure you get the pair of sunglass that block UVA and UVB light.

How will you know you have the quality pair of sunglasses?

First thing to keep in mind, UV protection feature. Pay attention to the UV-stop performance on the sunglasses… UV rays, short of ultraviolet rays are dangerous as they can damage our eyes.

VLT stands for volume of light transmission is another important feature to look for. The recommended range of VLT should be somewhere between 18% – 27%.

And one extremely important, the comfort of sunglasses. Look for a light weight pair as this is crucial to making comfortable sunglasses. The ideal pair of sunglasses should feel like you’re not wearing anything.

So the next time you purchase your sunglasses, make sure you got the quality pair.

Budget-Friendly Shopping Tips

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Eating healthfully can be expensive. The good news, however, is that with some careful planning, you can enjoy the foods you love without breaking your budget.
Here are five ways to cut down on spending at the grocery store:

Make a list. Before you hit the grocery store, know exactly what you plan to make for the next two or three days, or even the next week. Become familiar with your grocerystore circular to see what’s on sale, and make a list of foods you’ll need. Also, take advantage of coupons; you’ll be surprised at how much you can save if you make the effort!

Buy in bulk. While initially more expensive, bulk foods can often save you money in the long run. But be careful — if you’re buying fresh foods in bulk, make sure you eat them before they spoil. Otherwise, you’re wasting money.

Go for beans. It doesn’t get any cheaper or healthier than whole, dried beans. You can usually buy a one-pound bag of beans for less than two dollars. Beans can be used in soups, salads, chili, or as a side dish.

Shop at your local farmers market. The foods here are fresher than at the supermarket and can cost less in season (think zucchini and tomatoes!). Tip: If you’re on a tight budget, wait until the late afternoon to do your shopping — this is when you are likely to get better bargains, since many vendors prefer not to truck their produce back to the farm.

Opt for simple meals. One of the best ways to save money is to keep your meals easy. Serve grilled or broiled fish, meat, or poultry as the main dish, for example, with a steamed vegetable and a side salad. Make extra and use the leftovers for lunch the following day.

If you’re one of those people planning to do investment this year, consider the option to buy gold bullion.  Base on experts, that the safest way especially in times that the economy is down. And since there’s a decline in dollar recently, the price of gold is high. However, right now I found an Internet Special to buy gold at dealers cost. You may visit www.usgoldbureau.com to find the different bullion- gold and silver. I believe this is the right time to invest particular if you’re trying to diversify your investment portfolio. Go for gold and other precious metal where it can secure your private wealth.

Gift idea for mothers: one of Titanium Carbide bracelets

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

Aside from birthday’s, another event that need to remember and celebrate is the Mothers day that will be coming soon. When I was still single usually I give flowers or buy cake for my mommy and I know she’s happy with that even just to greet her on that special day. Now that I’m a mother too, I can relate to that feeling of being remembered on Mothers’ day.

And because it’s a special day, gifts or special presents for mommies could be a nice way to show and express our love and appreciation. One idea that I can suggests to those searching for a memorable presents is the jewelry… Let me show you some of my favorites that I’ve scoured over the Internet:

First is this simple titanium carbide bracelets. Very pretty!

From the item description, this is a bracelet with magnets. It features the scratch-resistant of a tungsten, which makes it durable. The chain looks similar with one of my watches except for the magnet. I love the simple look of the bracelet. Not to mention it’s very elegant.

Another jewelry which makes it perfect to pair with the above bracelet is the titanium ring

The above photo is my preference, which they called a groove titanium ring, see how three grooves polished on it…. nice match for the bracelet, isn’t? Both tungsten. I showed this to the husband and said we can have new rings when we reached our 10th year anniversary which will be next year.. :)

I just hope the husband read this post so he knows what gift I want on that special day, LOL! I would definitely suggests a bracelet if he will ask me, hehe. Well, it’s the thoughts that count so whatever presents they will prepare, I would gladly receive it as I know it comes from the heart…
